Our History
Deptford Allotments and Gardens Association (DAGA) sits alongside the railway tracks next to Brockley train station in South East London. Since 1933 it has provided local residents with a space to grow their own fruit and vegetables.
We now have over sixty plots, many of which have been handed down through generations of keen gardeners. The site is also home to dozens of wildlife species, including squirrels, hawks, frogs, slow worms, foxes, birds and newts.
The area is now considered a “Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation” and is protected from development.
